Biografia

GERARRDO MARI
Designer, inventor, and musician, he was born in Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1977. After studying electromechanical engineering and industrial design, he began producing aluminum electric guitars and founded Dozo, a brand of designer armchairs.
In 2005, he moved to Italy and worked for Artemide as the head of the Product Design department until 2013, collaborating closely with Ernesto Gismondi, Michele de Lucchi, Naoto Fukasawa, Ross Lovegrove, Karim Rashid, and Issey Miyake. Among his most significant collaborations: Artemide, Danese Milano, Breil, Hip Hop, Astep, Salar, Foster + Partners, Studio Chipperfield, Progetti, Mondo Marmo Design, and ADD.
He currently collaborates with teaching programs at: IED in Madrid, SPD in Milan, and IUAV in Venice.
Due to his dual expertise as a designer and electromechanical technician, he embodies the synthesis of various aspects of design, allowing him to delve deeply into product development and engineering, generating innovations and products with production coherence and ecological design.
He approaches design through a unique cultural interpretation, human factors, semiotic aspects, and the symbolic meaning of objects.
